How it all began

Parker and Zach met in the Spring of 2020 while they were both attending the University of Missouri. They had been neighbors at the same apartment complex for years, but it wasn’t until the pandemic started that their paths finally crossed. With Parker moving to Kansas City to begin her career and Zach preparing for PT school in the fall, the last thing on their minds was starting a new relationship. But once there was distance between them, they realized that they couldn’t go back to not knowing eachother again. Parker and Zach maintained a long distance relationship while Zach stayed in Columbia for PT school and Parker continued her career in Kansas City. Their visits were limited to the weekends, sometimes only a few days every month but they fought threw it because the knew it would be worth it in the end.

The Engagement

When Zach graduated from PT school in May of 2023, he made the decision to propose to Parker. On a vacation to South Carolina, two days before Parker’s 25th birthday, Zach proposed to Parker in her Aunt’s backyard to the tune of Phil Collin’s “You’ll Be In My Heart”, played by her Uncle on the guitar.
